Strokes have to follow the way your own hair actually grows, and that direction changes across the brow. Get it wrong and the result reads as drawn on rather than grown. Depth is the next one: too shallow and the pigment is gone in months, too deep and each stroke spreads into a soft grey line within a year. Preparing for Nano Brows and Healing
Preparation is the same for every brow technique: no retinol or acids on the brow area for two weeks, no waxing or tinting for a week, and no alcohol or heavy caffeine in the 24 hours before your appointment. Machine hair strokes heal a little more gently than hand-tool work, with less scabbing, but the timeline is the same. The brows look bold for two days, flake around days six to ten, go through a stage near day twelve where they seem to have faded away, and come back in week three.
